About Us
The Home Science Department was founded in 1984 and has been offering undergraduate courses since then. Home Science is a unique course in the Shivaji University area because it is only provided at eight Shivaji University-affiliated colleges, one of which is ours. Academicians, researchers, nutritionists, dieticians, fashion designers, interior designers, diet counsellors and food specialists, among the professionals expected to graduate from the faculty.

- Three completely furnished labs (Cooking/Food Lab, Fabric Lab, and Lab for Beauty Parlour) are available.
- Value addition with the following add-on courses: Beauty Care
- Workshops and seminars on current trends with resource persons from a well reputed Institute are provided as part of the skill training.
- The most up-to-date teaching approaches, such as audiovisual equipment, presentation slides are employed to improve the learning process and enhance students' abilities.
- Industrial exposure combined with educational and organisational trips as part of the curriculum to improve interactive skills.
- Students' entrepreneurship abilities are enhanced through co-curricular events organised by the department.
