The Department of English is one of the leading and active departments in the college. English was introduced as a compulsory subject at the pre-degree level with the inception of the college in 1984. Special English at the BA III level was introduced in 2020 taking into account the demand from students and need of time.

The department has its own departmental library consisting of 134 books. Most of the students graduated from the department became teachers at Secondary and Higher Secondary levels. A few among them opted for higher educational institutes.

The Department has well-qualified, dedicated and technosavvy faculty. At present, the faculty includes Prin. Dr. Babasaheb Dudhale, Dr. Sunil Gurav, Mr. Sandip Patil and Mrs. Sunita Pawar.
